What Made Me Smile #28

What Made Me Smile #28

I am back with my What Made Me Smile post- 5 things that make me smile.

Finding happiness in yourself is important. How do you find happiness? I enjoy writing my weekly What Made Me Smile list because it allows me to reflect on happy moments that I have experienced in the past week and makes me grateful for what I have in my life. Recognising gratitude is your gateway to success.

5 things that make me smile

Here are my 5 things that made me smile

1- Had a lovely birthday dinner with my mum friends. I love these girls to bits. Round two birthday celebrations with a brunch on Tuesday with newbie mum Nadia who couldn’t make it. I feel that with my mum friends and Instagram mummies, we tend to form a special bond. There are no drama and no issues, we all just support one another and it is nice.

2-I was sitting on a train and remembering back to a night out with my friend and laughing so hard at the guys dance moves! I was in stitches that night.

3-Had a lovely taco brunch on today. Sundays are for brunching. Who is with me on this one?

4-Standing with some girls at the Furla event and looking at how celebrity pose for photos made me chuckle. That pout, side look, sassy pose is the trend right now.

5-I made the yummiest mahshy (stuffed vine leaves ) the other day. I would love to cook a real Egyptian feast one day and have all my friends over. I can do a great bamya (Okra) dish, stuffed pigeon, kushary, fata and mahshy so far. The list is growing.

That’s lovely – it’s always important to reflect on the things that make us smile, so matter how small! (Also, I really feel like tacos now) #BrillBlogPosts

Totally agree:) Things and life can get us down but we should remember on what we have in our lives and what makes us smile everyday 🙂

So lovely to keep a gratitude list, I try and get my kids to reflect on what they’re grateful for too. We call okra bamye too and love what we call dolmathes. This post has made me hungry!
