A tastier and healthy alternative

Vegan meatballsOnce you make the balls, you can combine in a tomato sauce to make vegan meat ball sauce and throw in some spaghetti:) This is a huge hit with the tot.

Recipe for the vegan meat balls

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cooked black lentils
  • 1 onion chopped and minced
  • 2 tsp of cumin powder
  • 1tsp Himalayan salt
  • pinch of red chilli and smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp of black pepper and oregano
  • 3/4-1 cup of gluten-free bread crumbs
  • 1 egg

Method

1- Throw in everything in a bowl and mix. It couldn’t be simpler right?

2-Form in round balls.

3-Fry a little oil in a pan and fry until golden on both sides.

There you have it. It can be dipped in yoghurt sauce, combines in sauces or eaten alone.
