I do rather love Venice for its cute cobbled little streets, for the best ice-cream and its cute cafes by water, and of course the Gondola rides. I am about to give you the down low on the best hotel to stay in Venice. Read on.

The San Clemente Palace Kempinski Venice opened in March, a stunning 5 star beauty of a hotel which they describe themselves as the “Truly Italian Dolce Vita”. Located on a private island of San Clements which is only a minute away from the bustling Piazza San Marco which you travel to and from via their private boat. Now that should be enough to make you want to pack your bags and book a few nights for a peaceful weekend getaway right?
Let us start with the rooms….
The rooms offer stunning views of the lagoon and Venice Skyline or the centuries-old Park depending on which room you take. I quite like high ceiling rooms as it gives it that very grande touch along with the neutral colours for the interior. I don not like too much colour especially when I am taking photos purely because I want to be the centre of attention of course and I don’t want my surroundings taking centre stage.
The spa…
This gorgeous hotel boasts a stunning Spa named The Merchant of Venice Spa. Spa on a private island? Heaven on earth I say. They offer an array of beauty treatments, massages and even offer you some fitness recommendations upon request. I could easily spend the whole day dipping in and out of the pool and having pamper treatments in between to break up the day.
The dining…
As for the restaurant and bars, you will not be disappointed. If you really want to seclude yourself and not venture out of the hotel, then you can indulge in the three fabulous restaurants in the hotel.
The Acquerello which is located at the churchyard with a huge terrace offering a beautiful view of the lagoon. A super romantic dinner spot I would say.
The Insieme restaurant is where the breakfast is served. A beautiful open space offering the freshest of food. Those who are gluten intolerant can order from a separate menu. They also offer a kids menu for families.
Finally, the La Dolce restaurant is located in the old park by the pool making it a perfect spot for lunching where wood-fire oven baked pizzas and barbecues are on offer. Mama Mia.
This is a truly lux hotel that offers an unforgettable experience. If you are a couple and want a relaxing weekend in Venice, then this is your choice of place. If you are a family and want a relaxing with the added lux experience, then head over to SAN Clemente Palace Venice. With it being just a minute away by boat from the bustling life of Venice Piazza San Marco, it makes it the perfect location. Plus the kids will love the daily boat rides.
Are you wanting to go Venice for the Spring break? For the May bank holiday for a weekend away, booking.com is showing a price of £2,293 for three days. Not bad for an ultimate five star experience. If you book in advance, you can get good deals at this hotel. It is well worth the visit.
Where have you stayed when you visited Venice?

Oh this looks lovely and I would have loved to stay here too! I visited Venice twice and stayed in the same hotel Helvetia on the Lido both times. I was good value for where it was, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing, it’s been interesting reading. Jacqui Mummabstylish
