Cannes by night and St Tropez by day

Cannes by night and St Tropez by day

This post is a tiny winy bit late because I got a bit side tracked! But I promise lots of great pictures. Just writing this post makes me want to book a flight and head out to the South of France again:) And maybe alone this time! As much as I love my son, a holiday isn’t a holiday with kids. The thought of slipping into my swimwear and lounging on a sunbed all day seems so far fetched. Till next Summer I guess. So back to Cannes, we dropped our bags in our room after checking in, had a quick change of clothes and headed out for some dinner. With brassieres at every corner, we figured there was little difference in the choice of food so we settled for the little red Brasserie on the corner.

IMG_8562Salad and salmon spaghetti was ordered. Oh and fries is a must as a side dish.

After a short walk around the Croissette, we headed back to the hotel for an early night.

The next day was St Tropez day. With it being so close, we chose to hire a car and hit the the road for an hour and a half drive, well maybe a little longer with the detour (I mean getting lost). But what a beautiful drive it was.

IMG_8570We arrived at Bagatelle Beach and the sun was in full swing:) We headed straight to the sunbeds.

But first a beach shot first.

Pretty much sun protected head to toe:) He hit the sand pretty much within two seconds. And as for the water, well he wasn’t too much of  a fan. But I am hopeful this would change soon. Within half an hour, I picked him up and pretty much forced him in which I am glad I did because he started to really enjoy swimming in the ocean.

We spent the afternoon here relaxing by the beach and eating good food. As the day went on, these little friends were becoming less and less, I think the  fresh Lobster on the menu was a popular choice.

I made friends with a couple of Londoners on the beach bonding over Tinder and men talk!

We ended the day with dinner and strolling in town, dipping in and out if shops. How awesome does Chanel look? It’s like a little house.

I fell in love with St Tropez, I could easily spend a month here every Summer. Well this dream will only come true if I have a healthy lump of dosh in bank account, I better get moving on some ideas then. I believe dreams do come true if you really believe in them and truly want them and with a new outlook in life, I am looking forward to a great future.

And that was Day two all wrapped and I was ready to slip into my nighty and doze off to sleep.

    Hi Sarah,
it seems like you had a great time at the Côte d’Azur. I spend my summers there for a couple of years now and I couldn’t agree more. It’s just one of the most beautiful places on earth and so much fun in summer.
    Best regards from Germany 🙂
