Autumn is here so a hearty bowl of warm porridge is very much-needed in the mornings, A to fuel your body and B just for the warmth feeling to contrast the wind and rain outside.
Nothing beats a big bowl of warm porridge in the mornings. The best thing about porridge is that you can virtually add any topping to it so you can never get bored with it.
Here is how I make mine.
All you need:
-Half a cup of oats
– Three quarter cup of milk of choice (more maybe needed)
-Maple syrup (2 teaspoons)
-Any topping you like.
1-Heat your oats with milk over a saucepan for about 3-5 minutes until soft and stir in your maple syrup
2-Pour it into your serving bowl and add your topping.
I like to top with nut butter (peanut butter or almond are my favourite), some bananas, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, coconut curls and some extra maple syrup.
The best fuel for slow release energy throughout the day.
How do you take your porridge?
