The last thing you want to do when you get home from work, is slave away in the kitchen cooking. You want to be able to just grab something tasty and quick so you have enough time to sit down, relax, browse your social media before you turn in for the night! Yes, it sounds like we live a sad life where we come home, have dinner and before you know it, it is time for bed. Well that’s how it is for me anyhow.
So here is the recipe for chicken tacos and literally you will be putting this in your mouth in 5 seconds! And the best thing is, you can even sit at your computer and eat it. Great for you work-aholics out there.
But there is a cheat, obviously I didn’t make the tacos from scratch, that is far too ambitious on a work night and the chicken was pre- cooked. The best way to cut down on your meal time preparation, is use left overs from last night! And indeed I did that here with the chicken.
All you need for this dinner in 5 seconds is:
Taco filled shells
Strips of chicken
A bunch of lettuce
1 tomato cut up
Your favourite sauce. Best to use salsa for a real taco experience. (I used what I could find in the fridge- ceaser salad dressing- the healthy low-fat version.
That’s it, not much I know.
Start by heating your taco in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
Add your lettuce
Layer up some tomatoes
Add the chicken
Some sprinkle of cheese.
And top it off with your favourite sauce
Voila. Dinner is served. They go great with a side salad or some oven fries if you are feeling naughty. (Maybe you can be naughty on a Friday night).
