New Years Family Brunch made by moi

New Years Family Brunch made by moi

IMG_0859I thought I would start a new family tradition of Brunching on New Years day at mi casa. I made it a brunch so some ‘lazy’ members can drag themselves out of bed at what they call a ‘reasonable’ hour. What will you all do when you have kids I wonder?;p No matter how late I stay up untill, it is still always a 7.30am sharp wake up and get ready schedule for me. One of the many joys of motherhood.

I went all out:) #eatclean doesn’t officially start on the first day of the year in my books.

IMG_0868A mix of patisseries- A must.IMG_0861Scrambled eggs with peppers and tomatoes.

IMG_0876For the bread lovers.

IMG_0862I have to throw something healthy in the mix. My good old banana pancakes which are oat and sugar- free.

IMG_0870With something greasy. Well I picked out the McCain 5% fat chips- healthy in my books:p. (You know I dived into these with two hands).

IMG_0867I couldn’t find any foul (broad beans) in the cupboard so gave my brunch a protein boots with these red kidney beans, made with just spices and some onions. A little Egyptian touch is always needed. I didn’t have time to make falafels, maybe next year I can plan ahead a little.

IMG_0875Mainly for the little tot who dived into this plate and cleared itย in 2 minutes.

IMG_0873Eggs on toast? What a load of waffle, I must prefer it this way.

Oats also made it’s way to the table as well as crumpets and bagels and some well deserved mince pies. That nutella jar was far from feeling redundant:) It was last day of being naughty I promise. (Fingers not crossed, scouts honour).

I was officially stuffed after that, hence the pot of Green tea to help digest it all.

Happy New Year to all my friends and family. I hope you all have a good year ahead filled with plenty of happiness, joy and success. Remember that happiness is the key to success. Whatever route or plans you may have, always make sure that your happiness has been catered for and make that a priority in your decision making process. I am making a change in career because I really was not happy being a pharmacist. Who wants to wake up miserable everyday? Certainly not me.

Anyone have any exciting January plans they would like to hit me with?
