Can you guess where I went?
Does this photo give it away?
Or better still this one? Yep you guessed it SKETCH. The egg-shaped cubicle is their signature piece of furniture and it even made it to the number one spot on Time Out for London’s top 10 toilets in 2012:)
What a transformation from Day and night! I walked into Sketch and if I hadn’t known where I entered, I wouldn’t have guessed it was Sketch. Minus the crowd, the buzz and the loud music, Sketch transforms into an elegant afternoon tea place.
I never even knew that afternoon tea existed until my friend mentioned it to me a few weeks ago. Of course I was onto it and booked a table with my girlies.
The first thing I noticed was the wall decor which regularly changes every..ummm well I don’t go there that often to know but every time I go, the decor is different.
The Sunday afternoon started off with some sparkling grapefruit juice which is a def must try.
While waiting for the afternoon tea to arrive, I took a little wonder around an took a few snaps. Snaps of the oh so famous toilets was a must.
Stairway to Heaven? mmm Maybe not…
I settled for silver needle tea with the afternoon tea, which the Sketch way included sandwiches with quail eggs and caviar, pastries, mouse and macaroons of course (no afternoon tea is complete without macaroons). Oh and how dare I miss out scones! These are my favouriteeeeee.
What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than with my girlies, avec some scones and macaroons! Just what I needed as an end of week wind down.
After all those treats, I felt like Humpty Dumpty sitting on a wall.
