5 new things I am doing this September

A new month, I am looking forward, not backwards and making the most out of the rest of 2019, which isn’t very long left by the way, just under four months!

My friend gave me a reality check, and I am getting my 5hit together for the rest of 2019 and making each day count. I am learning to take time out for myself and to do the things I love which I don’t do very often at all.

What does ”time out” or ”doing things for you” mean to you out of curiosity? Does seeing friends count? Because I love doing that. Or do we associate ”me time” for spa days, falling in love with your yoga mat or reading a book? Drop me a line below.

What plans do you all have for September?

Here are my 5 things I am aiming to achieve by the end of September.

1- Read The Code of the Extraordinary Mind by Vishen Lakhiani.

I love conversing with my in- laws and my brother when we meet because conversations are always inspiring and involve talk on reading books, talking about visions, coaching and general life plans. They recommended to me this book which I did a quick search on and found that it will be a darn pretty useful read. It was inspiring to read about his journey! Heres a link

2- To get a skin facial

It is very important to look after your skin because it is the first thing that people see when they look at you. Protect it well, use a high SPF sunscreen everyday and make sure you take your make-up off every night. I am guilty of not doing this, #lazy I know.

3- Cut back on chocolate

Now I really have to do this and be strict about it. Note I said cut back, because I wouldn’t dare write stop chocolate all together. That to me is crazy and I would never be able to stick to it. I mainly eat dark chocolate so I guess that it isn’t too bad right?

4- Write a journal

I am giving myself 10 minutes at the end of the day to gather together my daily thoughts and put them down on paper to help me close the day and close all thoughts. I think it is a great idea for people like me who are constantly thinking or worrying about things. In doing this, you close the day and start tomorrow fresh and it helps keep a clear mind, something that is needed for a healthy state of mind. I hope to really stick to this goal. On the back of this, something that I have taught my little one is, don’t worry about the things you can’t change, ie the weather, peoples attitude towards you etc and worry about the things you can change in your day, like what you eat and what you say to your friends and family. Once you have mastered the difference between the two, you will have a clearer peace of mind.

5- Bake a frickin awesome Mac n Cheese

I have the recipe for an awesome Mac n Cheese I tried at the Berners Tavern last year, yes last year and and I am still yet to make it. Bring on the carb and dairy feast, I am ready for you. By the way, if you love Mac n Cheese, you have to try it here. It is incredible!

These are my top 5’s that I will be doing by the end of September. I made them achievable too, well I hope.

What are yours? I dare you to top mine!
