In flight beauty tips for all you travellers

How you look like when enter a plane compared to what you might look like when you leave on the other side of the world I find are two opposite of extremes! I don’t know about ya’ll but I find my hair static and lacks volume, skin is dry giving a dehydrated look and my make up is all over the place. Am I hitting home with any of you guys?

Well here is a few simple beauty tips I try to stick to before and during flight. I mean, you want to look your best when greeted by family or friends when you land:)

1- Tie your hair up

I don’t know about you guys, but my hair tends to get very static on planes, so I generally tie it up at the beginning of the flight. It also prevents it getting on my face and causing break outs.

2- Dry shampoo is your best friend

We have been best friend for donkey years! Love this product. Before you land, give your hair a few spritz of this to give it that extra bounce and revitalised look

3-Seal those ends

I never travel with clean locks mainly because I know I will be heading to the beach and will wash it again so I like to add some conditioner to the ends of my hair to keep it hydrated and soft

4-Water and more water

Keep yourselves hydrated with drinking plenty of water throughout the flight. Don’t get embarrassed to ask, I always bug the hostesses for water. Well it is their job to ensure we are satisfied.

5-Get moving

If you are on a 2 hour or longer flight, make it a must to get out of your seat for a walk, even if it is to the toilet. For long haul flights, I would take a quick walk up the plane every hour. I always try to get some leg exercises in, circulating ankle movements are always good. Flight socks are great for long haul flights.

Lips can get very dehydrated, so always carry your favourite lippy with you

7- Chewing gum

I love my gums after meals

8- Hand cream

This is a definite must. Long gone are the days when they used to have these in the toilets for use (economy). Yes economy! I remember flying using British Airways, many years back, and hand cream, and perfume spray was always made available for use! If you feel like being cheeky, you could always find your way to the first class toilets:p There you will definitely find the luxuries.

9- Make-up

If you don’t like to travel without make-up then layer on some concealer and mascara. I mean you got to look good, you never know who you might be sitting next to.

10-Nail varnish

Yep I said it right. If you are anything like me and haven’t done your nails in advance, then now is the time to do them. You have some hours spare, and plenty of time for it to dry.
