Home made yoghurt and lemon mask facial mask

If you are as busy as I am and cannot take the time out for a luxury facial then a home-made facial is just what you need. This yoghurt and lemon face mask does wonders for my skin.IMG_2991The beauty therapists will all tell you that having facial once a month is a must. Wouldn’t we all like to be pampered every month? The thought of a head massage, facial scrubbed and the feeling of warm mask applied to the skin does sound appealing. The results? A totally rejuvenated face. Well guess what, you can pretty much get the same results in the comfort of your own home. Save those pennies, DIY facials are right up my street.

It involves very basic ingredients and all which should be stocked in your cupboards/fridge.

All you need:

-2 tbs of natural yoghurt

-A couple of squeezes of a lemon

-2 tbs of milk

-1 tsp of honey

Mix all together in a little cup and apply with your hands/spoon, whichever works best for you.

Tip: Do tie your hair back to avoid  mixture leaving white marks on your hair.

Leave on your skin for about 15 minutes the rinse and wash off with warm water and pat dry. You might want to use your usual cleanser to get rid of the yoghurt smell.

1Voila, refreshed and a brighter complexion to sport.

The honey helps to clear acne, scars and great as a moisturiser

Yoghurt moisturises and rejuvenates the skin

Milk helps to soothe face, reduces irritation, and helps keep skin soft and supple

Lemon cleans dirt and bacteria on the skin, revives dull and dry skin and most importantly helps rid your skin of those resistant scar marks.

I’d never thought of making my own face mask, although I have been researching some ‘recipes’ for work recently with a view to creating some of my own. Thanks for the tips – I bet it smells wonderful! Stephen
